40 forum posts 3 photos | For me it was learning about what goes into commercial soaps and toiletries, as my Granddaughter suffered with eczema.
I then found The Handmade Soap Book by Melinda Coss, which I found very inspiring.
I started making soaps for Emily and family, when my husband and I were both made redundant we decided to turn my hobby into a business 4 years ago.
Who would have thought, that buying a book could completely change ones life?
What inspired you to create your craft?

I'd always been crafty so wanted to make these myself and I saw bezel jewellery on an outdated blog somewhere via Google that used resin. I didn't have a clue what I was going for, but a few Googles later and I had bought some resin, dyes and a couple of moulds from Fred Aldous and another modelling shop online as well as Sherri Haab's resin jewellery book. My first attempt was mixed in an old glass with a fork and didn't set! Now I don't bother with the photography at all |
